Social Action Committee

In recognition of the 14th annual

Season for Nonviolence

invites you to a special showing and discussion of

Faces of the Enemy

Faces of the Enemy

Who are our enemies? How do media depictions

influence those who become the enemy? How do we

respond to those we consider enemies? What is our

individual responsibility in creating enemies?

This Emmy nominated documentary follows social

psychologist Sam Keen as he unmasks how

individuals and nations dehumanize their enemies to

justify the inhumanity of war.

This provocative 1987 film presents themes that are

relevant to present day national discourse, and gives

glimpses into the kinds of conditions that lead to such

tragedies as the recent shootings in Arizona.

This film contains disturbing situations and images and is not suitable for children.

Recommended for late teens and adults. Discussion follows the showing of this 60 minute film.
